Your pet must be between the age of 2 months to 7 years old.

 Please pay for your surgery and any additional services at time of booking your appointment.  We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.  Unfortunately, we cannot accept other forms of payment including cash, checks, etc. 

Drop-Off:

Please arrive promptly to drop-off your pet. If you arrive after 7:20am, unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate your surgery appointment as we will have closed our doors and started surgery. This is for the safety of your pet as well as the pets in surgery. We would be happy to help you reschedule your appointment.  We will not be able to properly examine your animal for surgery past this window of time. 

Pick-Up: 

We strive to have your pet ready for pick up between noon to 2:00p the same day. However, surgery and recovery times can vary with each pet.  On the day of your appointment when you drop off your pet, you will be given a more definitive time frame for pick up.   We will email your discharge instructions to you when your pet is out of surgery and ready to go home.  You may come pick up your pet as soon as you receive our email! 

Please know that we are unable to hold any pet past 2:00pm or overnight.  Pets who are not picked up on time will be boarded at a local animal hospital at a rate of $100/night. 

Your appointment and your pet's well-being are very important to us. When you book your appointment, you are holding a space on our calendar that is no longer available to other animals in need. We understand that sometimes, unexpected delays can occur, resulting in schedule adjustments. If you need to cancel your appointment, we respectfully request at least a 48 hour notice.

Our Policy:

• Cancellations made more than 48 hours in advance of your appointment date will receive a 100% refund. 

• Rescheduling more than 48 hours in advance of your appointment date will not incur a fee. Your deposit will be applied to your rescheduled appointment date.

• Any cancellation or reschedule made less than 48 hours from the appointment date will result in a cancellation/rescheduling fee. The amount of the fee will be equal to the required deposit amount made at the time of scheduling your appointment.

Anesthesia always carries with it some inherent risk.  Animals are unique in their anatomy and physiology and we don’t know how they will respond to the anesthesia. 

You can help increase your pet's chances of having a successful surgery by answering all of the pre-intake questions thoroughly and accurately.  Listing all concurrent illnessess and disclosing all medications your pet is taking are very important considerations prior to having surgery. 

It is our utmost priority that all surgeries are performed safely and that undue risk is not taken.  Thus, while anesthesia inherently carries some risk, we do our best to minimize complications by only accepting good candidates for surgery. Your pet must be in good health, between the ages of 2 months to 7 years, and be behaviorally sound.  Please understand that if we decline surgery for your pet, it is for your pet’s safety and we are happy to discuss other options with you. 

It is vitally important to keep your pet calm post operatively in order to allow the body to heal without complications. Activity post op can result in internal bleeding, incision dehiscence, and/or swelling or bruising at the incision site.  Because we understand some pets may need some assistance in this, we offer sedation medication for 7 days post surgery for $25. Some medications are contraindicated with these sedation drugs.  For the health and safety of your pet please make sure you disclose any medication that your pet is on in the appointment questionnaire if you are purchasing this option. 

Yes, we would be happy to! We highly suggest having your pet microchipped as it greatly increases the chance you will be reunited with your pet should they get lost. Microchips are about the size of a grain of rice. We insert them between the skin and muscle layer in between their shoulders. More information as to how microchips work can be found here. 

We implant right before they go into surgery so your pet is completely under anesthesia and will not feel the microchip being implanted! Our microchips are $20 and come with a free lifetime registration.

You can also upgrade for an additional $10 to receive a Smart Tag which includes passive geolocation service! The Smart Tag has a QR code that when scanned, will pull up your pet's name, your name, and your contact information. While not an active GPS, the geolocation feature sends you a message with a map of the exact location where your pet's tag was scanned

A tattoo is a small thin green line placed in the skin near the sight of the spay or neuter incision to signify that a pet has been altered.  This is a universally recognized symbol in order to prevent the pet from undergoing an exploratory surgery.   Because we believe in ensuring that no pet undergoes surgery unnecessarily, every animal will be given a tattoo at time of surgery.  This is not optional. Many pets require additional health services beyond spay neuter, thus we recommend establishing a relationship with a primary veterinarian.  This will allow them to address all of your pet’s needs, from dentals to parasite preventatives, skin, ears and more.  One of the full-service veterinary clinics we recommend is Express Vets. A hernia is a break in the abdominal wall where the umbilical cord originated.  You may notice a bump on your pet’s belly.  Some hernias are large enough to where it may cause abdominal contents to get trapped. Thus, it is recommended that all hernias be corrected at time of surgery.  Hernia repairs are $50. Learn more about umbilical hernias.

A cryptorchid means that one or both testicles have not descended into the scrotal sack.  While growing male puppies and kittens may have their testicle descend naturally given time, males who are over 1 year of age will likely need to have their testicle surgically removed from either the inguinal canal or abdomen.  We are happy to discuss the procedure or answer questions if you suspect your pet may be a cryptorchid.  Cost is $50 per undescended testicle. These breeds that have a shorter skull and are prone to have difficult, obstructive breathing due to the shape of their head, muzzle and throat.  We recommend that these pets receive surgery at a full-service hospital where anesthetic protocols can be tailored to their individual needs.  Examples of  brachycephalic breeds include English bulldogs, Boston Terriers, Frenchies, Pugs, Pekinese, Shih Tzus, Persian and Himalayan cats.
