Weekly Yoga Session Successfully Held at SPA Vijayawada on 19 August 2026
The School of Planning and Architecture, Vijayawada (SPAV), successfully organized the inauguration ceremony of the Weekly Yoga Sessions on 19 August 2026 at the First Floor OAT, SPAV. The initiative was organized by the Yoga & Health Committee with the objective of promoting physical fitness, mental well-being, mindfulness, and a healthier campus environment among students, faculty, and staff.
The session was conducted as part of SPAV’s continuing efforts to encourage a healthy and balanced lifestyle within the campus community. The initiative, themed “Let’s Build a Healthier Campus Together,” seeks to integrate yoga and wellness practices into the regular routine of the SPAV community.
The inaugural session provided participants with an opportunity to engage in yoga practices in a calm and supportive environment. The sessions are designed to help participants improve mental clarity and concentration, reduce stress and anxiety, and promote overall happiness and well-being.
The Weekly Yoga Sessions will be conducted regularly, with sessions scheduled on Wednesdays of the 1st and 3rd weeks of every month and every Saturday from 4:15 PM to 5:00 PM. The initiative is open to students, faculty, and staff of SPAV.
The programme is being conducted under the guidance of the Yoga & Health Committee, with Yoga Teacher M. Krishna supporting the sessions. The initiative is being undertaken under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ramesh Srikonda, Director, SPAV.
Through this initiative, SPAV continues to foster a campus culture that values health, mindfulness, wellness, and holistic development, encouraging the entire campus community to unwind, breathe, and grow together through the practice of yoga.
