The two-day workshop on "Village Development Planning" was successfully organized on the 8th and 9th of November, 2024, at SPA Vijayawada. This workshop was conducted as part of the Area Planning Studio by the Department of Planning, covering various aspects essential for village-level planning and development.
Day 1 - 8th November 2024:
The first day focused on "Village Development Planning" with sessions on decentralised and participatory planning, physical infrastructure aspects, institutional frameworks, and spatial planning guidelines.

The forenoon session ran from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and the afternoon session from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Day 2 - 9th November 2024:
The second day expanded on topics such as rural infrastructure in the context of development planning, village development plans (VDP/GPDP), and creating comprehensive Gram Panchayat Development Plans.

The session was held from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
The workshop was overseen by Prof. Dr. Ramesh Srikonda, Director of SPA Vijayawada, with Dr. Prasanth Vardhan as the Head of the Department of Planning and several studio coordinators. The sessions provided valuable insights into the planning and development processes that support sustainable village development.
