The expert lecture titled “Role of Citizens in Comprehensive National Security” was successfully held at SPA Vijayawada on 11th November 2025, organized under the National Service Scheme (NSS) and Institution's Innovation Council (IIC). The session emphasized the evolving concept of national security and highlighted the vital role citizens play in safeguarding the nation beyond traditional military frameworks.

The event featured Maj. Gen. Dr. S. S. Dasaka (SM, VSM Retd.) as the Chief Guest, who delivered an insightful address on the importance of awareness, responsibility, preparedness, and participation of every citizen in ensuring national safety and resilience.

The program was graced by the presence of Prof. Dr. Ramesh Srikonda, Director SPA Vijayawada, serving as Chief Patron, along with academic leadership including Dr. Srinivas Daketi, Head of the Department of Architecture, and Dr. Prasanth Vardhan, Head of the Department of Planning.

The successful execution of the event was supported by faculty coordinators Ms. Ekta, Dr. P. Siva Prasad, Dr. Jagath Kumari D, and Ar. Siddesh Mundle.

The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty, contributing to meaningful dialogue and strengthened awareness on the shared responsibility toward the nation’s holistic security.
