Orientation Programme for Newly Admitted UG, PG & PhD Students Successfully Held at SPA Vijayawada on 19 August 2026

The School of Planning and Architecture, Vijayawada (SPAV) successfully conducted an Orientation Programme for the newly admitted first-year students of Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG) and Ph.D. programmes on 19 August 2026 at the Krishnaveni Sabhagar, Academic Block, SPAV Campus.

The programme was organized to warmly welcome the newly admitted students to the SPAV academic community and to familiarize them with the Institute's academic environment, programmes, facilities, institutional practices, and various opportunities available during their academic journey.

The orientation programme was presided over by the Director, SPAV, and attended by the Heads of Departments, CPP/PG Programme Coordinators, faculty members, staff, and newly admitted students. The event provided an opportunity for students to interact with the academic and administrative representatives of the Institute and gain a better understanding of the academic structure and campus environment.

The session also aimed to help students make a smooth transition into higher education at SPAV, an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Students were introduced to the academic ecosystem of the Institute, along with the expectations, responsibilities, and opportunities associated with their programmes.

The orientation further familiarized students with the various departments, academic programmes, campus facilities, student support services, and other resources available at SPAV. The interaction helped the newly admitted students gain confidence and clarity as they began their academic journey at the Institute.

The programme marked an important milestone for the incoming UG, PG and Ph.D. students, fostering a sense of belonging and encouraging them to actively participate in the academic, co-curricular, and campus activities of SPAV.

The Orientation Programme concluded on a positive and encouraging note, setting the stage for a productive, enriching, and successful academic journey for the newly admitted students at the School of Planning and Architecture, Vijayawada.
