The School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), Vijayawada, under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, successfully organized the Nasha Mukt Yuva Abhiyan – Drug-Free Youth Campaign 2026 on 02 August 2026 with the objective of creating awareness among students about the harmful effects of substance abuse and encouraging them to lead a healthy, responsible, and addiction-free life.

The campaign highlighted the importance of building a drug-free campus and society by empowering young minds to make positive life choices. Through awareness initiatives, students were encouraged to channel their energy into creativity, innovation, academics, sports, and nation-building activities, reinforcing the message that a brighter future begins with healthy decisions.

As part of the campaign, emphasis was laid on promoting physical and mental well-being, organizing awareness workshops, encouraging peer mentorship and support, and inspiring students to actively participate in design, research, innovation, and community engagement. The event reflected SPA Vijayawada's commitment to nurturing socially responsible professionals while fostering a safe, inclusive, and substance-free academic environment.

The campaign was conducted under the powerful slogan:

"Say No to Drugs. Say Yes to Life."

The programme concluded with a collective pledge by students and faculty members to support the vision of a drug-free India, reaffirming their commitment to spreading awareness, making informed choices, and contributing towards a healthier and more progressive society. Participants were also informed about the National Helpline (14446), ensuring that help and guidance remain accessible to anyone seeking support.
