Inclusive Product Design Competition at SPA Vijayawada

On 21st October 2024, the School of Planning and Architecture, Vijayawada, successfully organized the Product Design Competition focused on Inclusive Play Equipment for Public Parks. This initiative aimed to foster inclusivity by designing accessible play equipment suitable for children of all abilities, promoting physical health, social integration, and equal enjoyment of public play spaces.

Participants presented innovative designs, incorporating wheelchair-accessible swings, slides, and other modular play structures, thoughtfully crafted for children with diverse physical needs. The competition, featuring exciting prizes for the top three entries, also highlighted the importance of safe and durable materials, adaptable designs for various park sizes, and adherence to inclusive standards for children aged 5-12.
