A One-Day Workshop titled “From Idea to Thesis: Research Foundations for Architectural Inquiry” was successfully organized at the School of Planning and Architecture, Vijayawada (SPAV) on 25th July 2025 at Krishnaveni Sabhagaar, SPAV.

The workshop aimed to equip final year B.Arch and B.Plan students with essential knowledge on research methodologies, technical writing, data analysis tools, and academic referencing. It served as a foundational platform to support students in developing their dissertation work and preparing them for the thesis semester ahead.

Organized under the aegis of the Institution’s Innovation Council, the workshop featured insightful sessions delivered by expert faculty from the Department of Architecture and Planning. Key sessions addressed topics such as dissertation planning, generative writing, literature review strategies, using data in research, and understanding design as a research process.

Keynote addresses were delivered by Prof. Dr. Ramesh Shrikonda, Director of SPAV, and Prof. Dr. Srinivas Daketi, Head of the Department of Architecture, SPAV, along with contributions from distinguished faculty members.

The workshop received active participation and was well-received by students, marking it as a productive and impactful academic initiative by SPAV
