Elaborated Event Context (Success Statement Included)

The School of Planning and Architecture, Vijayawada (SPAV), in association with the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, successfully organized the Floral Tribute to Bhagwan Birsa Munda on the occasion of his 150th Birth Anniversary on 14th November 2025 at the 1st Floor Open Air Theatre, SPAV campus.

The event was held to honor the legacy, courage, and immense contribution of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, a revered tribal freedom fighter who played a pivotal role in India’s tribal empowerment and resistance movements.

The ceremony, graced by the presence of students, faculty, and staff, included a respectful floral offering to the statue of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, symbolizing SPAV’s deep appreciation for his enduring values of bravery, leadership, and social reform.

The program was conducted under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Ramesh Srikonda, Director, SPAV, who served as the Chief Patron of the event. The institution reaffirmed its commitment to celebrating national icons and promoting awareness of India’s tribal heritage and cultural history.

The event concluded successfully with enthusiastic participation and a collective homage to the extraordinary life and legacy of Bhagwan Birsa Munda.
