Delainey Wilcox

Junior, Sports & Entertainment Reporter

Delainey Wilcox is a junior at Sparta High School and a three-sport athlete, playing basketball, volleyball, and tennis. Outside of school, she loves spending time with her friends.

This is Delainey's second year in Web Multimedia. She enjoyed the class so much last year that she came back for more. She loves learning how news stories come together and especially enjoys the editing process, watching a story take shape from start to finish. This year, she's focused on sharpening her storytelling and making her pieces even more engaging.

As a journalist, Delainey gravitates toward sports and entertainment stories. Her approach: pull out the most interesting details and cut the boring parts. In her words, a good news story grabs the audience's attention, and keeps it the whole way through.
