 • Earned 8 varsity letters (4 in wrestling, 2 in football, and 2 in baseball) 

• Served as team captain of the varsity football, wrestling, and baseball teams during senior season (1992)

• Earned all-conference honors and advance all-area honors as a junior on the varsity baseball team in 1991 

• Earned all-conference honors in wrestling during sophomore, junior, and senior seasons (1990 - 1992) team member of three OK White championship wrestling teams (1990 - 1992) 

• Team member of three state semi-finalist wrestling teams (1990 - 1992) 

 • 152lb state champion in wrestling in Class B during senior season (1992) 

 • Earned all-area honors in wrestling as a senior (1992) 

 • Posted a career record of 127 - 40 in four years of wrestling 

• Wrestled at Muskegon Community College for 2 years and played baseball for 1 year (1992 - 1994)

 • Qualified for the NJCAA wrestling nationals as a sophomore at MCC (1994)

 • Posted a career record of 42 - 22 

 • Coached the Sparta freestyle wrestling program for 3 years (1994 - 1997) 

• Served as an assistant wrestling coach at Wyoming Park High School for 2 years (1998 - 2000) 

• Served as the Kent City High School varsity wrestling coach for the past 10 years (2000 - 2010) 

• Kent City teams have won or produced 8 district titles 

• 4 conference titles 

• 24 state qualifiers, 12 all-state wrestlers, and 1 state champion
