Bob married Kathy Sinclair in 1978, and they have two children: Brett and Gina. Over the years, Bob has worked such jobs as road construction, pipeline construction, tennis instructor, and sales manager for Budweiser. He worked for a computer software company, and he traveled over the country selling and installing computer systems as National Product Marketing Manager for Hand-Held computers.
Bob has stayed active in golf and racquetball.
Bob says, "Have as much fun in your athletic endeavors as you possibly can, not only in high school but after. Putting added pressure on yourself to perform or to think that you must win at all cost, only takes the fun out of the sport, and makes the sport seem more like work. And believe it or not, you have the rest of your life to work. So really enjoy your time at Sparta High School. The times I remember the most are the fun times I had participating in Spartan athletics. The work I've long since forgotten."
