Class Overview
The Lima North Middle School Band is a 2-year band program that starts at the beginning of 5th grade and goes to the end of 6th grade. Students will learn to play a wind or percussion instrument to a level that will prepare them for band at Lima West Middle School and future programs. It meets every day all year and is separated by grades.
About me
My name is Mr. David Harris. This is my 8th year at Lima North Middle School and my 21st year at Lima City Schools. I previously taught at Lima South Middle School, Lima Senior High School, and Lima West Middle School. I am originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, and earned a bachelor of Music Education and a Bachelor of Tuba performance at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. I am a regular performer on tuba with the Lima Area Concert Band, Lima Symphony and Chorus, and the Old Crown Brass Band out of Ft. Wayne, Indiana. I am married and have two kids, a dog, a cat, and a guinea pig.
