The Dorman High School STEM program is a rigorous, accelerated honors program that allows students interested in science, technology, engineering, and math to grow and learn beyond the regular high school curriculum. Students apply in 8th grade. If accepted, they begin taking STEM courses along with their SC required curriculum in 9th grade. Scientific research, engineering, and advanced placement science and math courses are prerequisites for a STEM internship during their junior or senior year. To earn the STEM diploma upon graduation, students must successfully complete eleven STEM course credits.
