FAQ - Student iCON

1. How can my child log in to Student iCON?

Student iCON is web-based. Students can use their web browser in their internet- enabled computing or mobile devices to visit https://workspace.google.com/dashboard to access Student iCON.

2. Which Operating System or browser to use?

Refer to the following table for the Operating Systems/browsers that are compatible.

3. I am unable to use my mobile device(s) to access Student iCON.

Please refer to the above table in Question 2 to see if your device(s) is/are compatible.

4. I am able to access Student iCON in school, but not at home. OR
I am able to access Student iCON at home but not in school.

Ensure that you log out of your devices when you are not using them.

5. I am unable to update my password.

When I attempted to change my password, it states “Your new password doesn't meet your organisation's password policy. Try something else, or ask your admin for tips.“

Please ensure that your password meets these requirements:

  • Password must be 8 - 24 characters long.

  • Password must contain at least 1 lowercase letter(s).

  • Password must contain at least 1 numeric character(s).

  • Password must contain at least 1 uppercase letter(s).

  • Password must contain at least 2 alphabetic character(s).

  • Password must not be one of 3 previous passwords.

  • Password musc not match or contain first name.

  • Password must not match or contain last name.

  • Password must not match or contain user ID.

  • Password expires every 360 days for primary school students.
    Users will be alerted via email 7 days before the expiry date.

  • Maximum of 5 login attempts are allowed.

  • The password has to be changed after subsequent password resets.

6. What should I do if I've encountered these issues?

Forget password or username?

Request for password reset by filling up the SVPS ICT Helpdesk e-form.

Ensure that you have logged out of the previous device you were using.

Key in a mobile number that is able to receive SMS. An SMS with a verification code will be sent to the phone number.

Ensure that you have logged out of the devices you were using and try again.

If unable to resolve, report the case directly to school based ICT help desk at e-form

Request for password reset by filling up the SVPS ICT Helpdesk e-form.

If you encounter and other issues, please take a screenshot of the issue and submit the e-form together with the student's full name and class.

7. I am unable to log in and access google classroom using my mobile device(s).

Please refer to the above table in Question 2 to see if your device(s) is/are compatible.

8. I am unable to log in using gmail.com.

Student iCON for lower primary (P1-P3) is without email function. Please refer to Question 1 for the url link to access student iCON using google dashboard.
