Students who ride the bus will arrive in time to eat breakfast before beginning the day. Parents dropping off students should bring them to the front of their school.
Students will collaborate to solve a engineering design and construction problem using their critical thinking skills, teamwork, and creativity. These short challenges will start the day to help students get in an engineering frame of mind.
Students will be presented with a athletic challenges that will need to be solved by designing and constructing different mechanisms. Students will build a model arm to shoot a basketball and a machine that can kick a ball.
How can we study the human body to help make an athlete's performance better? Learn how to measure the body's response to the stresses of exercise and how that can help you to become a better athlete.
How is sports equipment tested? What makes a good football helmet? Can we evaluate our sports equipment and help to improve the design and function? We can!
