School Counselor

Cindy Maynard

Elementary School Counselor

Hello! My name is Cindy Maynard and I am the school counselor for students in Kindergarten through 4th grade.  In elementary school the focus is on increasing self awareness, social skills, learning safety skills and developing self efficacy.

In addition to classroom lessons, I conduct small groups in the area of social skills as needed. I also consult with parents, colleagues, and community agencies regarding strategies to help students and families.

I provide a limited amount of individual counseling to help students with difficulties dealing with relationships, personal concerns and/or developmental issues.  Students may be referred by themselves, teachers or parents.
