Hello parents and guardians,
In the event of school closure, please use the resources listed here to guide you in working with your children on their speech and language goals. There are sections for articulation for students working on sound production, expressive language skills for students working on their use of language (i.e. sentence structure), receptive language skills (i.e. understanding directions/stories), fluency, and social language skills. The Mixed Skilled Resources page includes activities that can be used for a variety of age groups/skills. AAC users can find some great resources on the Expressive and Receptive Language page! I also included a page with free educational resources that may be helpful in a more general sense during this time. On each section you will find links to specific activities, blogs containing information prevalent to each skill and helpful tips. Spending a minimum of 30 minutes explicitly on these skills a week will help maintain the growth and progress they have made thus far in the school year. However, many of these skills can also be addressed when working on academic work, playing games and conversing with your child.
Please feel free to contact me for instructions and activities pertaining more specifically to your child's goals!
