UMSA 8th Grade Promotion and Activities

Note - In-person activities are subject to change according to the most current CDC and Oakland County Health Dept. Covid-19 safety protocols. Any changes in venue, date or format will be listed on this site.

Students must be in good standing to attend activities.

February - June - Bi-weekly Lunch Fun Fridays (music listening, dancing, singing, self-expression, live performances, etc)
April 19th - NJHS Induction (students only)

May 26th - NJHS Fun Activity Trip (more information to come)
June 8th - 7:50am 8th Grade Promotion Dress Rehearsal (teachers will walk students to auditorium after attendance)

June 9th - 8th grade Fun Activity Field trip (Dave & Busters) - (Permission slips due 5/23 and 5/24 during English class)
June 10th at 10am - 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony in the UMHSA Auditorium (in-person). Parking available in the student parking lot. Students report to the library at 9:15AM. No tickets needed. However, to ensure social distancing, each student is permitted to bring 4 guests (2 empty seats between each family). Students are asked to wear business attire with dress shoes. Please refrain from wearing strapless dresses.
June 15th - Last day of school grades 6th thru 11th (half day all students)
