The phone in the office is for emergency calls only. Students are discouraged from using it except for emergencies. Students will only be permitted to use it prior to 8:15AM and after 2:30PM and only when the teacher deems it necessary. Students are not permitted to use the office phone to make after school plans.
Student cell phones may be brought to school for before and after school use. During school hours (8:00AM – 2:45PM), they will be turned off and in student backpacks. Cell phones used during class time will be taken by the supervising adult and turned in to the office. They will need to be retrieved by parents.
Students may use their cell phones (and other handheld devices) on the school bus to play school appropriate games and listen to music with earbuds. However, students are responsible for usage and storage. Under no circumstances, may the phone or device be used to record video or audio or to take pictures of other students. Also, students may not share their devices with other students.
