I was born in Fort Worth, Texas and lived in the metroplex until I was 23. I received a BA in Exercise Science from the University of Texas at Arlington where I competed in three collegiate triathlon nationals for the UTA Triathlon Club team. I also spent several years as a lifeguard and sport clubs supervisor. After my bachelors degree I moved to Waco to pursue a MSEd in Exercise Physiology. I participated in two more collegiate triathlon nationals for the Baylor Triathlon Club. I also met my now wife in the Exercise Physiology program. During the MSEd I found I was wanting to learn more statistics and applied to the PhD in Statistical Sciences program at Baylor. I am currently completing my dissertation to receive the doctoral degree.
In my spare time I enjoy reading books on statistics history and yes there are a few out there. I usually have to read them near a bed since they usually aren’t lively reads. I also like to be outdoors, mountain biking, disc golf, and triathlons. Hopefully I can participate in my last collegiate triathlon nationals this year.
