DASH Puzzlehunt

Your team of deputies is charged with keeping the peace in Tenderfoot Falls, a bustling small town in the Old West. The sheriff is away on sudden and mysterious business, there's a stranger in town up to no good, and a robbery brings a long-ago secret to light. Can you work through a series of puzzles to bring the robbers to justice, solve the mystery, and restore order?

On 2018 September 22, the Department of Mathematics and Statistics will host the DASH Puzzlehunt in partnership with PlayDASH.org on South Alabama's campus.

Participating teams should arrive at MSPB Room 360 by 8:45am to check in for the day. Teams will be given directions to visit several locations throughout campus, with a puzzle located at each location. Each team will complete the hunt at their own pace, with an estimated finish time of around 3pm. Quickly-solved puzzles can earn bonus points, but walking between locations is not timed.

While lunch is not provided, players will find themselves at Shelby Hall around halfway through the hunt, which is within walking distance of several restaurants near the corner of University Blvd and Old Shell Rd.
