Dr. Samina Ahmad is a distinguished physician and wellness advocate, with an accomplished career spanning traditional medicine, holistic health, and community-focused initiatives. A graduate of the University of Punjab in Pakistan, Dr. Ahmad began her medical journey as an Internal Medicine Physician in the Senior Gastroenterology Department before transitioning to the National Institute of Child Health. Driven by a commitment to healthcare access for underprivileged women and children, she established the Al-Rehman Welfare Trust & Medical Centre in Karachi, delivering critical services to those in need.
Dr. Ahmad’s dedication to holistic health led her to the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York, where she became a certified Holistic Health Practitioner by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. Additionally, she completed training at Columbia University and is a certified Perfect Health Consultant and Primordial Sound Meditation teacher through the Chopra Center. Dr. Ahmad furthered her expertise with an Associate Degree in Ayurvedic Science from the International University of Yoga and Ayurveda, completing advanced training in Ayurvedic practices in both the U.S. and India.
In New York, she now operates "Dr. Samina's Wellness," providing integrative wellness solutions that blend her extensive medical and holistic health expertise. Beyond her medical career, Dr. Ahmad serves as Business Manager for Junoon, an internationally acclaimed Sufi rock band from Pakistan, and co-founded the Salman and Samina Global Wellness Initiative (SSGWI) with her husband, Dr. Salman Ahmad. This New York-based NGO focuses on global health and wellness, cross-cultural dialogue, and education, hosting events such as a UN concert to raise awareness for internally displaced persons in Pakistan.
In recognition of her contributions, Dr. Ahmad, alongside her husband, was honored as part of the inaugural Pakistan Power 100, celebrating influential Pakistanis worldwide.
