How fast can you ride 500 meters on a closed course?
Set Up: You can do the 500 meter course ride in an empty parking lot or an open space. Measure a course with a shape similar to a square that measures a distance of 250 meters (or 820 feet). You can measure by taking 82 large steps (205 feet) for each side of the course. If your area is not large enough to make a square this size, you can change the shape of the course, as long as the total distance around the course equals 250 meters, or 328 large steps. Place a marker at each corner of the course, the start and finish line will be the same.
What to record and submit: Record the time it takes you to ride 2 laps around the course from start to finish.
