Team Olympus Overview
We are Team Olympus -- one of the three Freshmen Teams at Sonoma Valley High School named for Mt. Olympus. We are a team comprised of an English, Math, Science, and Physical Education teacher. We meet three times a week where we plan team events, have student/parent meetings, we talk about our students, and create plans to support them.

Mrs. Gray
I have been teaching at SVHS since 2014, and I absolutely love being a fierce mama dragon. I am a native of the South Bay (Morgan Hill), but moved to the North Bay to go to Sonoma State where I earned my degree in English with a Single-Subject Concentration and my teaching credential. I am a foster mom to three beautiful girls who range in age from 13 to 20 years old. Teaching, travel, and music are my passions. On top of being an English teacher, the lead for Team Olympus, and a tech lead for the district, I am also one of the Link Crew Coordinators. I can NOT wait for some of my former Olympians to become Link leaders Junior year -- it warms my heart!

Ms. Skaggs
I was a substitute teacher for SVHS back in 2019. I completed my student teaching at Adele Harrison and then taught at Petaluma High the year after. Now I am back at Sonoma Valley High to teach!
Baking cookies and breads are one of my favorite things to do. I also enjoy hiking alongside the beach over in Jenner and Point Reyes. I like to go and take pictures of the nature and the scenery.

Ms. Bakh
I was a student teacher at Vanden High School and taught for a year at Dixon High School. This is my first year here at SVHS and I am so excited to be here! I teach Living Earth and AP Environmental Science.
I love hiking, cooking and baking, spending time with my family and pets, art, music, traveling, watching tik toks, and dinosaurs!

Niehaus
I was born and raised in Oregon. I landed in Santa Rosa, for college and began teaching at Sonoma Valley High in 1988. I studied Kinesiology for the love of learning how the body moves and how it functions best. Besides the love I have for teaching & making connections with students, I also enjoy sailing, rowing, fishing, hiking, biking, swimming, walking and kayaking.
I have two daughters who attended Flowery, Adele and graduated Sonoma Valley High. We are a Dragon Family.

Mrs. Chapin
I have been teaching at SVHS since 2008 as the Living Skills teacher. I was born and raised in Sonoma County, went to college at Montana State, and love being here and part of the Dragon Family. I received my credential in Family and Consumer Science and Home Economics.
In my free time, I spend my time with my 3 munchkins that range in ages from 8-11. This finds me often on the sidelines of a soccer field or basketball court. Otherwise, we find any and all ways to be outside, camping, going to the beach, and bike riding.
