Prior to being a mentor for Ellipse 6814, Alberto Lana worked as an International Business and Production Manager for Clear Focus Imaging, making him responsible for organizing and overseeing the production of a product used in building and car wrapping. During his tenure at the company, he gained extensive knowledge in machining, software design and troubleshooting, and wiring, all skills that will serve him and the robotics team during the season. 

Alberto's first experience with Sonoma Academy was as a substitute teacher for Spanish I, II, and III, and has been considered one of the best substitutes Sonoma Academy has ever hired. As he continued teaching, he expressed interest in Ellipse and offered to be an extra set of eyes when needed. His large skill set, and passion for teaching and learning, has made him an invaluable mentor to Ellipse 6814.  He primarily works with the Build Team, aiding in design and prototyping, and is always ready to get to work with a smile on his face.
