I'm currently an Assistant Professor in Psychology at Sonoma State University. I graduated from UCLA with my PhD in Social Psychology in 2019 and spent a year as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Palo Alto University before coming to Sonoma State.
Primarily, I study the experiences of students from different social class backgrounds when they are in college. One area of my research is on how physical cues in an environment affect how students feel and how they perform in those environments. For example, how does it affect students from high-income vs. low-income backgrounds when they take a test in an environment that contains high social class cues (leather chairs, etc.) vs an environment that does not?
In addition, I write popular science articles translating psychological research for diverse audiences.
