Problem Statement:

The problem we are exploring addresses the safety of workers in cleanrooms. We are currently focusing on small-scale companies that have cleanrooms that are struggling with keeping up with expensive cleanroom monitoring systems or planning on buying a new monitoring system. These companies are trying to regulate what can be a dangerous environment for their employees while balancing the financial aspect of implementing a full-scale monitoring system. The use of our system allows the employees to feel safe before they walk into the cleanroom as well as confirming that while they are completing their work they are safe. The employees may feel that without proper safety systems, they will not know if the air is safe to breathe or if the pressure of a room is safe to walk into before they complete their work.

Value Proposition:

Our Cleanroom Monitoring System helps companies with clean rooms who want to protect their labs and materials by monitoring and notifying the user when a change occurs through a lower-cost low-power solution.

Proposed Solution:

Our proposed solution is to design a monitoring system that is affordable, reliable, and scalable by implementing low-cost sensors. The utilities for our Cleanroom Monitoring System are:

  • Internet connection

  • Display sensor values on a screen

  • Save and display historical data on the website

  • Alert users of significant environmental changes
