Eighth Grade

For the 2024- 2025 year, the Middle School Nominees Greade 7 & 8 Nutmeg Award Nominated books have embraced more diverse characters and grappled with more contemporary issues. We have reviewed these books and are confident in the appropriateness of the themes and storylines presented. In an effort to ensure an even broader range of literature, if your student is unable to find a book of interest on the 2025 list of award nominees, they may access the 2024 list of Nutmeg Book Nominees or two selected 2024 Newbery Medalist titles.
