Academic tutoring at MBA is a place where you will learn and practice executive functioning skills. These skills will help you feel prepared, organized and ready to take on your academic workload.
Our job, as tutors is to help you practice the skills you might need to brush up on, as well as hone in on the ones you feel confident about. We mainly focus and implement these skills at school for academics but, you will eventually be able to apply them to other areas of your life; like sports, clubs, and even things around the house.
You can find us in the computer lab of the LMC starting at 2nd period. You can always email us at: barbara.ciejek@somers.k12.ct.us sharon.curtis@somers.k12.ct.us
Who Are The Tutors
Mrs. Ciejek is from Massachusetts where she lives with her husband, daughter and dog. She has been working in public elementary schools as a paraeducator for 5 years. This is a new position for Mrs. Ciejek but she is thoroughly enjoying it and very happy working with older students.
