Geometric Constructions

Thursday:

1) Complete "Construction Introduction Activity" or make a couple practice circles on scratch paper before starting Monday work.

Monday:

2) Watch this video to learn how to construct a congruent line segment.

3) Complete problems #1-4 in the packet.

4) Go to the Math is Fun web site and complete the following:

1. Watch the Line Segment Bisector tutorial to help you complete problem 5 in the packet.
2. Watch the Perpendicular to a Point on a Line tutorial to help you complete the first two parts of problem #6.
3. Watch the Perpendicular to a Point NOT on a Line tutorial to help you complete the last two parts of problem #6.
4. Watch the Angle Bisector tutorial to help you complete #7.
5. Watch the Same (Congruent) Angle tutorial to help you complete #8.

5) Turn in your packet (with your name on it!!). If this is not turned in by Fri., 1/31, you will be requested during seminar the week of 2/3 to finish it.

6) If you have extra time, try "Construction Activity Design B" or "Construction Activity Design C" from the front table. Or, try some of the other constructions from the Math is Fun web site.
