The collection of paintings 'Horizon' revisits the traditional representation of landscape by blending the imaginary and realistic representations. The horizon is the meeting point of our past, present, and future. The abstract forms emerging on the horizon aim at triggering the deepest personal perception of the contemporary reality, our individual, cultural, and socio-political constructs.

The Strings collection of paintings and drawings captures human characters and emotions expressed in their daily interactions, situations when they experience joy, excitement, fear, and ambition that leads them to achieve their dreams. Sometimes, these interactions may result in comic and dramatic exercises of human nature that the Strings embody. The Strings Collection belongs to a broader thematic collection 'Memes'. The technique and materials used combine ink and acrylic on paper. The Strings Collection Catalogue is available for preview on https://issuu.com/sojic.org/docs/strings_collection

Stripped of particulars, the Memes communicate a shared cultural experience. The Memes in their simplicity, as generalised archetypes, capture some common aspects of human experience facing the information overloaded. Underneath a rapidly changing environment, the symbols of continuous iterations are turning into stains and repeating patterns that are marking our perceptions as well as our identity. Extrapolated from this apparent variability, Memes' uniqueness is almost mimetic and cross-cultural, just as it is the singularity of abstract and semi-figurative forms they embody.

The collection 'Faces' explores human diversity. It questions how different forms of expression can depict human features and individual characters. Along this artistic experiment, different perspectives and techniques are intentionally combined as to demonstrate that the faces cannot be stripped out of their environment and socio-cultural context that profoundly contribute to our vision of identity. Every single ‘face’ from this collection is telling her/his own story on her/his own way.
