I am a Senior Lecturer in the Sociology Department at the University of Haifa. I hold a PhD in Sociology from Brandeis University, where I conducted my dissertation research on the social experience of obstructive sleep apnea under the mentorship of the esteemed sociologist, Professor Peter Conrad.
My papers were published in prestigious journals such as Sociology; The British Journal of Sociology; Social Science & Medicine; Science, Technology & Human Values; Sociology of Health & Illness; Qualitative Health Research; and International Journal of Drug Policy.
Current Research and Teaching Interests:
Dr. Zarhin's main research and teaching interests include the sociology of health and illness; the sociology of sleep; gender studies; sociology of body and embodiment; disability studies; science and technology studies; and qualitative research methods.
