Hello, this is Gyuyoung Hwang.
I am now a postdoc researcher in Biomedical Mathematics Group (BIMAG) in the Institute for Basic Science in Daejeon, South Korea.
Contact : hgy0407@snu.ac.kr
Research interest : Mathematical physics and dynamical systems. In particular, I am interested in the following topics
Semiclassical analysis, mathematical analysis of quantum physics
Developing methods to understand infinite dimensional dynamical system
Deep learning and data-driven methods to understand dynamical systems. (Physics informed Neural Networks, Applications of generative AI)
Mathematical biology, Collective dynamics and Active matter
I was trained for my Ph.D. under professor Seung-Yeal Ha in analysis of PDE and dynamical systems. In particular, I studied semiclassical limit of the Schrödinger equation, analysis of the coupled system of fluid (Navier-Stokes type) and kinetic (Vlasov type) equations, and developing dynamical system techniques to understand the periodicity in the space of measures. Now, as a postdoc under professor Jae Kyoung Kim, I have been studying applications of deep learning (mostly Physics-informed neural network and generative AI) to understand biology and physics.
