FOR THE MONTH OF:    JANUARY

ELA - We are finishing up Unit 2 on our Animal Research.  We wrap up our research towards the end of the month by completing a project that will be done at home.  More information to come later on. 
Spelling word patterns for the month:
Unit 2 Week 6 (1/2): ight, ice, ide
Unit 2 Week 7 (1/8):  ow, old,  ail, ain
Unit  2 Week 8 (1/15): oa, ee, ea

*Please do not practice these patterns until you see a new list in your students spelling book.

Math - We will begin Unit 4 which is all about practicing counting on a number line, skip counting by fives and tens, and measuring, comparing & subtracting with penguins! 

Science - We will begin our Shadow Town unit!
