Class of 2023












We are excited to welcome families to St. Michaels University School in June to recognize and honour the Class of 2023 for a two-day graduation celebration on June 15 and 16! This webpage details the formal school events that we will host to celebrate our graduates.


All events listed below will be held at St. Michaels University School (3400 Richmond Road, Victoria). Parking will be available on the front field, so we ask all attendees to access campus via McRae Avenue.


Thursday, June 15, 2023

Grade 12 Graduation Ceremony

Time: Graduates must arrive on campus by 5:45 pm; Formal ceremony begins at 6:30 pm.
Location: Double Gym, Monkman Athletic Complex
RSVP Required? No. There is ample seating in the Double Gym and attendance is first come, first served. Doors will open at 5:45 pm.
Additional Details: Families are welcome to mingle and take photos on campus with their graduate before the ceremony. Light refreshments will be served after the graduation ceremony and the traditional cap toss. For questions, please email Laurie Erwin.

Friday, June 16, 2023 

Graduation Celebration: Social Reception

Time: 5:00-6:45 pm
Location: Sun Centre quad. (Graduates are to meet first in the Chapel promptly at 5 pm.)
RSVP Required? No.
Additional Details: The Class of 2023 will be ceremoniously paraded into the quad led by piper Bill Buckingham and will take a formal class photo. Light refreshments will be served during the event. For questions, please email Laurie Erwin.

Graduation Celebration for Students
Enchantment by the Sea:
A West Coast Grad Celebration

This event – a formal dinner and dance – will happen immediately following the Social Reception and will end around 10:30 pm. Only SMUS Grade 12 students will be able to attend this event and details will be shared directly with grads in the lead-up to the event. No tickets are required and there is no cost to students.

Parent Cocktail Event

Time: 6:45-10:00 pm
Location: The Snowden Library and Crothall quad
RSVP Required? Yes, this is a ticketed event. Tickets ($130 per person) must be pre-purchased online before Monday, May 22, 2023.
Additional Details: This social event will include catered food from Truffles Catering (welcome drink, passed canapes, grazing board stations, and chef action stations), a cash bar and live music. As this is a formal event immediately following the graduation celebration, attendees are asked to dress smart casual. For questions, please email Cindy Henry.
