Dual Degree is for future Juniors and Seniors only! Earn both an Associate's degree and a high school diploma simultaneously. This option is designed for highly motivated students looking to advance their education. A minimum GPA of 3.5 is recommended. Students are responsible for their own transportation to JCCC and all associated costs. For more information, click the link above. The deadline to pursue this opportunity is the spring semester of the student's sophomore year, and discussions should be initiated with the student's academic counselor.

Advanced Placement ("AP") is the most widely accepted college credit in the U.S. and an excellent option for strong test takers. Students become eligible by sitting for a 2-4 hour exam at the end of their course in May. The pass rate for most exams ranges from 60-80%. For more information, click the link above. The signup deadline is in late October. "Late" and final registration, with a fee, is March 1. $105 per exam

College Campus Study is an excellent choice for students who wish to enroll in college courses not offered by SMNW, including online courses. Students collaborate with their alpha counselor to make any necessary schedule adjustments. Please note that cost and deadlines vary by institution. For further details, click the link above.

Baker University Dual Credit is accepted by most universities. This option requires a minimum 3.0 GPA to register. Students attend their SMNW classes and can earn college credit by achieving a passing grade. For more information, click the link above. The registration deadline is in September. $118/credit hour (~$354/class)

JCCC College Now & QS+  are dual credit programs. Students earn college credit while attending SMNW classes. This option is for students prepared to work diligently in their courses. It is crucial to verify transferability with each university. For more information and course offerings, click the link above. The registration deadline is in September.

Excel in CTE is formerly SB155, which authorizes JCCC to waive the cost of tuition for high school students who meet JCCC Kansas residency requirements for enrollment in any tiered career technical course. Textbook, program fees and any other additional fees may apply. 

International Baccalaureate ("IB")classes are ideal for high school students who are intellectually curious, self-motivated, and committed to academic excellence. These rigorous classes emphasize critical thinking, global perspectives, and interdisciplinary learning. Perfect for those who excel in research, writing, and presentation, IB classes prepare students for university-level coursework and foster a well-rounded educational experience. Career Ready Programis for Seniors Only! Students interested in pursuing careers in Skilled Trades (such as plumbing, HVAC, electronic technology, welding, etc.) can begin their programs at JCCC. Tuition is free through Excel in CTE for all high school residents of Johnson County. Students are responsible for personal equipment costs and transportation to JCCC. Discussions with the student's academic counselor should begin in mid-January of their junior year (during SMNW enrollment), with a deadline of mid-February.
