About Coach Archer
SME Career
Coach Archer is entering his fourth season as the head coach of the Lancers and his fifth year with the program. After three seasons, Archer currently has a 20-43 record as the head coach of SME.
Before SME
Before coming to SME, Coach Archer taught and coached at Grand Forks Central in Grand Forks, ND. He coached girls basketball for 5 years and boys basketball for one. He is a graduate of the University of North Dakota where he played basketball for 5 years. Archer helped lead the Fighting Hawks to 2 conference championships and 3 post season tournament appearances. Coach Archer played his high school ball in Northwest Missouri, where he lead the Jefferson Eagles to 3 straight State Championships.
Personal Life
Coach Archer is currently a Physical Education teacher at Shawnee Mission East. His wife, Maggie, also works as a PE teacher at East. They live in Overland Park with their daughter, Landon, and are expecting their second child in March.
