Before choosing or exploring a career, you need to spend some time finding out about you. Whether you're a student planning to go to college, a vocational school, or the military, or you're just not sure what you want to do yet, the ASVAB Career Exploration Program can provide you with important information about your skills, abilities, and interests, and help set you on the right course for a satisfying career.
The ASVAB Program administers a series of eight short tests that help you identify your skills in a variety of areas. After taking the test, you will attend a test interpretation session a few weeks later to learn about your strengths and weaknesses and see what career areas might be best suited for your abilities and interests.
The test will be given at SCHS on November 21 from 8-11. Juniors and seniors who wish to take the test will be excused from class. Military recruiters are here to assist with administration. The military uses the test results for job placement and military qualification, but many students with no military interest take the test each year.
Juniors and seniors may sign up for test in guidance office and receive a book with practice questions.
