The Smith County School District is proud to announce the appointment of Jeremiah Keyes as the new principal of Taylorsville High School, effective July 31, 2025.
Keyes, a Smith County graduate, spent 14 years of his teaching/coaching profession in Smith County with stops at Raleigh High School (2002-2008), Taylorsville Attendance Center (2009-2015), and Mize Attendance Center (2019). Keyes served in an administrative role at West Jones High School as its 9th-10th grade principal for the past five years.
The Smith County School Board approved Keyes' appointment by Smith County Superintendent John King at its July 14, 2025, board meeting.
