Class overview:
As an Interventionist, I work with small groups of fourth-grade students who did not score on grade level on their third-grade TCAP assessment. Through targeted, small-group instruction, students receive personalized support to strengthen their reading skills, build confidence, and close learning gaps. My goal is to provide a positive, encouraging learning environment where every student has the opportunity to grow, succeed, and reach their full potential.
About me
Welcome! This is my 33rd year in education, and I continue to enjoy helping students learn and grow. I retired after 29 years of teaching, including 20 years teaching 8th grade science in Trousdale County and 9 years teaching 8th grade Science at Lebanon Special School District. I am now proud to serve as an Interventionist at Carthage Elementary, where I work with small groups of students to help them build confidence and achieve academic success.
I am a graduate of Trousdale County High School and Cumberland University. When I'm not at school, I enjoy gardening, swimming, and anything outdoors. I also love spending time with family and friends and making special memories with my three grandchildren.
