Biology I and Ecology
Class overview
Biology I - Biology is the study of life. We will have class discussions, peer discussions. charts, graphs, simple essays, informational texts, quizzes, tests, and labs that cover the necessary content mandated by TN state standards. This course will have an EOC (end of course) Test.
Students should have a composition notebook, 24 pack of colored pencils, and a writing utensil. There is also a $15 laboratory fee. Tests and quizzes will be announced in advance. Students should have no work to complete outside the classroom other than studying for tests and quizzes. There will not be written homework assignments.

About me
My name is Tonya Preston. I graduated from SCHS in 2008. I attended Cumberland University, where I played softball and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2013. I worked in a science lab in Nashville for 5 years before following my true calling of teaching. I earned my Master of Arts in Teaching from Cumberland University in 2021. This is the beginning of my 8th year of teaching (3rd year at SCHS).
