Classroom Goal
Welcome to our class! Second grade is a special time where students build learning more independence, deepen critical thinking skills, and foster meaningful friendships they will have their whole life. My main goal is for each of us to be better than the day before. "Practice makes better" is my motto! If we do a little better each day, then the goal is met!!
About me
Welcome to 2nd Grade! I’m Mrs. Becky, and I am so excited to be your teacher this year. This is the start of my 23rd year teaching in Smith County! My husband, Josh, and I have been married since 2003, and live in Pleasant Shade. We are blessed with four amazing sons—Jay, Luke, Ben, and Will. Jay is a Sophmore at TTU, majoring in Civil Engineering. Ben and Luke are Seniors at SCHS where they play football and baseball, Go Owls! Will is in the 5th grade here at DES. When I’m not in the classroom, you can usually find me cheering on my boys at their ballgames, relaxing by our pool. I love my dog Maggie Sue and my cats Meow, Honey, and Badger I can’t wait for a wonderful year of learning and fun! Second grade is such a fun year!
