Class overview

Welcome to 8th Grade Math! In this course, students will build the mathematical skills and confidence needed for success in high school. Using the Savvas enVision® Mathematics Tennessee 2024 curriculum, we will explore algebra, geometry, functions, the Pythagorean Theorem, data analysis, and real-world problem solving.

Students will:

• Develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

• Strengthen fluency with mathematical concepts and procedures.

• Explain and justify their mathematical reasoning.

• Work independently and collaboratively.

• Prepare for success on the Tennessee TCAP assessment and future math courses.

Together, we'll learn, ask questions, make mistakes, and grow as mathematicians!
