Coach Kramer had his 500th career win on Jan 21st at LaPlata High School when the Braves beat Westlake. On Thursday, February 6th, the Wrestling team along with alumni, friends, and family celebrated Coach Kramer in this milestone. While he might not want to be the center of attention, he was showered with love and accolades throughout the night as former wrestlers shared memories of their time together over the years.
The LaPlata Wrestling team showed their support in his achievement with their entire team and coaching staff wearing a shirt to commemorate this milestone and recognize Coach Kramer. Total class act!
On February third, girls and boys indoor track and field teams competed in 3A East Regionals at the PG Complex. Carson Mandis became a Regional Champ in the shot put! Athletes in the top 8 positions scored for Chopticon and top 3 positions in each event qualified for 3A States.
On February twenty-first, Indoor Track Season Ended for Girls and Boys, at 3a States.
Lady Braves continued to play with all their heart, winning 33-16 vs. Cavaliers on Feb 7th.

JV and Varsity Boys Basketball earned the wins LaPlata!
The Lady Braves bounced back after a tough loss against Great Mills the night before and took on Huntingtown winning 19-2 on Feb 19. The Braves defeated the Hurricanes 41-27. This finishes out their regular season with an 11-10 record. Playoffs begin on the road at Great Mills.
Braves girls finished 11th and and boys finished 12th at SMAC. Swim concluded their season at the Regional meet. Braves ended strong with swimmers setting new personal best times and winning individual event heats. It was a great season and we look forward to next year!
