We have designed a pathway for you to become a highly-qualified high school physics teacher. If you choose this path, you'll major in physics (fundamental or applied concentration) with a minor in educational studies. After that, you will complete the MAT. Along the way, you'll be advised by two experts: a professor in physics and a professor in educational studies. You'll also have early teaching opportunities, including being a Learning Assistant at SMCM and student teaching. You will complete the program with an MAT and eligible for a Standard Professional Certificate with a Master's pay grade.

This activity draws on materials from Get the Facts Out, an NSF-funded partnership between the Colorado School of Mines, the American Physical Society, the American Chemical Society, the American Association of Physics Teachers, and the Association of Mathematics Teacher Educators.
Josh Grossman put together this particular version. It also uses modifications and data gathered by Angela Johnson (SMCM), along with some text and modifications by Sarah Formica (UNG).
