James Cook University, Townsville, Queensland, Australia
From July to November of 2024, I had the life-changing experience of studying abroad in Queensland, Australia at James Cook University. As a biology major hoping to go into zoology, seeing wallabies hopping all about campus, giant fruit bats flapping in the air, and a carpet python slithering around the dorm complex was a fascinating look into the incredible biodiversity our planet is home to. I learned a great deal in my advanced biology courses, made lifelong friendships with people from all over the world, and reveled in the gorgeous Australian landscapes and wildlife.
