There are rich resources available in each that will support your student's learning experience. Be sure to base any activity on our Ontario Math Curriculum expectation.
The mathies.ca website houses Ontario Ministry of Education developed resources to support mathematics learning from Kindergarten to Grade 12. Resources include online manipulatives, games and supports for parents.
These tools and resources are supportive to teaching your Ontario curriculum. Unfortunately, Flash Player is no longer being supported and many of the virtual tools depended on Flash to run. You can still access the apps on tablets and devices (as well as through Self Serve for board devices). We will provide links to these amazing Ontario virtual manipulatives once any update occurs. This site is designed for Ontario K-12 students, educators and parents/guardians.
Click on Learning Tools to access supportive activities and links to add the apps on devices. For example, the Canadian Money app is a fantastic tool for teaching and learning!

Didax Free Virtual Manipulatives

The Toy Theater Teacher Tools are a collection of interactive manipulatives and tools to illustrate basic math concepts.
These apps are based on the visual models which are available in two or more versions: a web app for all modern browsers, and downloadable versions for specific operating systems and devices (such as Apple iOS for iPad). Illuminations: Resources for Teaching Math
NCTM Illuminations is a project designed by the American National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM). Some of the Illuminations resources may require membership to purchase Lessons. Please keep in mind that this is an American resource. Be sure to use the Ontario-mathematics/grades-list
Code.org® is a nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to computer science in schools. Code provides access to plugged an unplugged coding lessons, as well as "The Hour of Code".
