A multi-faceted television producer, host, writer, two-time Gemini Award-nominee, and best known as co-host of the popular daytime talk show The Social.

After her childhood dream of being in the circus didn’t pan out, Cynthia Loyst settled for a career in television. As a multi-faceted television producer, host, writer and two-time Gemini Award-nominee, it’s safe to say that she has flourished in her field. Today, she is best known as co-host of the popular daytime talk show The Social.

At St. Joseph’s Catholic High School, Cynthia was actively involved in the school community and well-loved by her peers and teachers. She may have even got her first taste hosting when she acted as a MuchMusic VJ in the school’s talent show production Expressions.

Following graduation, Cynthia attended York University’s Film and Video Department and completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts. She also studied with the Women/Gender Studies Department and started a relationship column for Rosco magazine. She has grown to become one of Canada’s most recognized and respected writers, producers and television personalities.

Sought after for her candid opinions and advice, Cynthia has hosted a variety of docu-series and programs and interviewed a wide range of experts including academics, Pulitzer Prize-winning authors and celebrities. She has shared her relationship expertise numerous times on radio and television, including The Marilyn Dennis Show, CTV News, 99.9 Virgin Radio Toronto, 103.9 Proud FM Toronto, 104.5 CHUM FM Toronto, and TVO. Cynthia has also travelled to universities across Toronto to give lectures on relationships and sexuality. Her most recent venture is as the founder and creator of an online destination called Find Your Pleasure.
