In the afternoon of November 25, 2024, NTC SmartClass held a virtual event that aimed to appreciate the world behind us while combining the imaginations of literature through fun activities like Jeopardy, called the UN/Lit event.
The UN/Lit Event was a combined celebration of United Nations Month and Literature Month, a testament to the resilience and adaptability of the NTC SmartClass community. Originally scheduled for October, the United Nations Day event was postponed due to typhoons for homeschoolers’ safety. To avoid further delays, organizers creatively merged the 2 celebrations into the UN/Lit Event in November. The event featured engaging activities.

Students participated in a lively Jeopardy game that tested homeschoolers’ knowledge of global affairs, the United Nations, and world literature. This interactive game was the favorite among students, fostering friendly competition and encouraging learning through fun. The program also showcased the talents of homeschoolers through special numbers, featuring performances of various artistic expressions like dancing.
A key highlight was student speeches on “What I envision the world to be,” fostering critical thinking and global awareness. The event also facilitated valuable interactions among homeschoolers from diverse backgrounds through a chatbox, fostering a sense of global community.
The UN/Lit event was a success, despite the initial postponement. The engaging activities fostered a sense of community among homeschooled students, providing a fun and educational platform for interaction and learning. Homeschooled performers were met with enthusiastic applause, showcasing the talent and dedication within the NTC SmartClass community.
